Final open day at Z Ward November 15
BOOKED OUT! Please don’t attend unless you have pre-booked, as we will not be able to get you in.
Due to the huge interest shown in the Z Ward open day a second, final, public open day will take place on Saturday November 15. Beach Energy have been kind enough to open the building again and volunteers from the National Trust and Glenside Hospital Historical Society will be on hand to help people through. Because of the great interest, pre-registration is required to ensure we can get all people through with a minimum of waiting.
Five 90 minute sessions between 8.30 am and 4 pm are available for booking here.
Please register early to ensure you secure your preferred time. The event booking page includes further information and a map.
Coffee, cold drinks and a sausage sizzle will be available. Street parking and off street parking is available via Conygham Street, Glenside.
We are grateful to Beach Energy for accommodating the interest in a second open day. Although this will be the last free public open day, a program of guided day and night time tours will be offered over coming months.
These tours will be available for a fee, which will be used by the National Trust to undertake the work of documenting the history of the Z Ward building and capturing the many stories we have heard from people who have a connection to the building and its past.
The first of the new guided events is a night time tour/investigation offered by Haunted Horizons for 20 people on November 16 at 8pm.

A program of guided day time tours will be announced shortly. Special access visits for limited size groups of photographers will also be offered.
